Thank You for Giving Generously to Lahaina UMC

In worship on 17 September, ESUMC took a special offering for the members of Lahaina UMC in Maui, Hawaii, USA, whose sanctuary was destroyed in the devastating wildfires of 8 August 2023.

In our service of worship, and in the days that followed, members and friends of ESUMC collected €2,500 in support for Lahaina UMC. These funds will be transferred immediately to the congregation to assist in relief, recovery, and rebuilding.

Marilyn Brandl offers this word of thanks to the ESUMC community:

Dear Friends in Christ, I am overwhelmed with joy and deeply humbled by your generosity and support in the rebuilding of the Lahaina United Methodist Church, which was completely destroyed by the wildfires of August 8, along with the entire town of Lahaina. Please accept my words of sincere gratitude to each of you for so graciously opening your hearts and your wallets for a church that is very dear to me and my sister. May God bless each of you.
