Superintendent Stefan Schröckenfuchs provides an update on the renovation works, which are proceeding according to schedule.

Beloved members and friends of ESUMC,

Again, we offer our thanks for your patience as the renovation of our church sanctuary continues. Below I am happy to share with you an update from Superintendent Stefan Schröckenfuchs on the renovation works. As he notes, while the vast majority of the work is being funded by the UMC in Austria property management office, there will be some expenses to be shared by our two congregations. Thus we invite you to donate generously, either through our Sunday offerings or via bank transfer to the ESUMC bank account (see below), with the notation "church renovation".

As we await the renewal of our sanctuary, let us continue in our mission of witnessing the love of God to the world around us.

Yours in Christ, Pastor John

An Update from Superintendent Stefan Schröckenfuchs (translated from the original German)

New Life for the Church Sanctuary!

The renovation work is on schedule. The electrical cables are currently being laid in parallel and the support structure for the suspended ceiling is being erected. Drywall construction will begin soon, followed by painting work, the installation of lighting and the fitting of new radiators. The work should be completed by mid-May so that we can use our church sanctuary again. Our space will then literally shine in a new light and once again provide us with a good home for our church services and celebrations.

Thankfully, the church administration of the UMC in Austria has decided that the costs for the unforeseen work that has become necessary can be borne by the property management of our church. However, there are many smaller projects that we need to carry out as part of this work or that it makes sense to implement now. For example, the audio, video livestream, and internet cables are being laid out of sight and a dedicated technology space is being created; the piano and organ will need a bit of an overhaul; the defective window openers in the hall will be replaced as part of the repair work. We thank you for your generous support for these additional expenses, and for your patience and good spirit!

Please give generously in support of the renovation of our sanctuary, with the note: "church renovation":
