Devotional Resources for Lent

News

During the Lenten season, you are invited to take advantage of printed and online devotional resources.

In the liturgy of our recent Ash Wednesday service of worship, we were invited to observe a holy season of Lent by reading and meditating on God's Holy Word.

Many ESUMC members begin each day by reading from The Upper Room, the daily devotional of our United Methodist Church. In fact, we still have a few more copies available in the fellowship area, if you would like to use these readings as part of your daily reflection.

Additionally, here are links to some online Lenten devotional resources from the worldwide Methodist Church and other ecumenical bodies.

1) Inspired by the theme of the 2024 World Methodist Conference held in Gothenburg, Sweden, "On The Move" offers weekly devotionals written by leaders of WesleyMen and the World Methodist Council and include Scriptures based on this year’s Gospel lectionary, moving stories, calls to action, and prayers.
