Thank you for serving in the Wärmestube!

Our Wärmestube ministry has now concluded for the winter season. We give thanks to God for all ESUMC members and friends who volunteered with our ministry over the last four months. During this season, we served more than 1,600 meals to members of our community, and distributed thousands of canned goods, articles of clothing, and personal care items. We thank you, friends, for participating in this ministry, and witnessing God’s love and grace to our neighbors in need.

And we invite you to support our new year-round Begegnungsstube (“A Meeting Place”). Every last Tuesday of the month, visitors will be welcomed with refreshments, and will have the opportunity to play board games, engage in community activities, participate in language learning, and enjoy extended conversation and fellowship. Volunteers from ESUMC and the Fünfhaus Gemeinde will staff the Begegnungsstube, and all are welcome to serve. The first Begegnungsstube was held on Tuesday 25 March, and about 10 neighbors and volunteers enjoyed a time of conversation, refreshments, and games. We are grateful to be able to open the doors of our church to meet the needs of our community not only in the winter, but around the year.
