Once again this year, the United Methodist Church in the 15th district in Vienna will offer warm food, medical care, and legal assistance to persons in need in our community, every Tuesday starting 7 December.
Cooked with love, delivered with love!
For many years, ESUMC and the Fünfhaus congregation at Sechshauser Straße 56, in partnership with the neighboring Old Catholic parish Heilandskirche and Caritas Vienna, have offered a warming room in winter. Due to the pandemic, the ministry will be operated this year as a food distribution center. From 7 December to 22 March, freshly cooked hot meals to go will be offered between 12:00 and 14:00. Depending on availability, canned take-out meals will also be provided in addition to the fresh meal.
We would also like to thank our neighbors from Reindorfgasse "Vinyltom" and "Buchcafe Melange" as well as the drugstore chain DM for supporting our project!
To Participate
Volunteers on Tuesdays, donations in kind (such as "hearty" canned goods in single-sized portions, or single pack tissues), and monetary donations are very welcome. For more information, please contact waermestube@emk.at, or speak with Pastor John.
