Learning in the Season of Lent

During the Lenten season, ESUMC members took part in two special studies of the New Testament Scriptures.

On Tuesday evenings during Lent, a total of fourteen women and men joined for an online Bible study of the seven last words of Jesus from the cross, using a study guide authored by UMC pastor and scholar Susan Robb.

And on Saturday 23 March, about 40 persons from ESUMC and other English-speaking churches in Vienna gathered in our sanctuary for a study day on the theme "Growing Together: A Study of First Corinthians." This spiritual retreat was led by the Revd Dr. Robert Kinney of the Christ Church Anglican community in Vienna. We give thanks to Dr. Kinney for leading our study day, to Farzad and Sadaf for providing a delicious lunch, and to Connie for offering hospitality throughout the day.
