ESUMC and the Fünfhaus Gemeinde Celebrate the Easter Season

About 120 members and friends of the English- and German-speaking congregations at Sechshauser Strasse in Vienna gathered for a morning celebration of music, prayer, and the sharing of God's word.

Pastor Antje Klein of the Fünfhaus Gemeinde preached an inspiring sermon on the appearance of Jesus to his disciples in the upper room, one week after his resurrection. "What seemed impossible was now possible and true--Jesus was alive and present with his disciples." The good news is that Jesus is alive and present with us today, offering us the gifts of salvation and new life.

Members of our two congregations read Holy Scripture, offered prayers, and provided musical accompaniment. A highlight of the morning was the anthem of praise music sung by our African Singers and Drummers, under the leadership of choir director John Kojo Ampia-Addison.
