ESUMC Update
Mid-July 2023
Dear friends in Christ,
I offer you grace and peace in the name of our Lord Jesus, and bring your greetings from Pennsylvania, USA.
I write this mid-month newsletter update from the city of Williamsport, where I have been based this past week as I continue my mission itineration. Since my arrival in the US about 10 days ago, I have made nine separate presentations in local UMC churches, during worship services, Sunday School classes, potluck dinners, and evening fellowship events.
It's a blessing for me to share some words and pictures from the ministry of ESUMC with our friends and partners here in the US.
Meanwhile, we give thanks to Pastor Tom for his leadership of ESUMC worship services through August 20.
Families, we remind you that ESUMC Vacation Bible School begins on Monday 24 July. For more information, visit our website at www.esumc.at. To register, go to https://forms.gle/8aiTYoa3XgVQEkGB9.
Finally, please let me share these two special requests.
1) In August and September, David and Connie Lee will be on vacation. We are seeking members to host Coffee Hour fellowship in their absence. Please sign up in the kitchen, or speak with David and Connie.
2) Vacation Bible School begins on 24 July. Shelley and her team would welcome additional volunteers to assist with VBS, as well as with preparations for the new Sunday School year in September. To volunteer in our Sunday School program, please speak with Shelley or email sundayschool.esumc@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor John
